ZAPCO CODE OF ETHICS FOR MANUFACTURING BEST PRACTICE

Introduction:

The ZAPCO INTERNATIONAL ( ZAPCO) Code of Ethics for Manufacturing Best Practice aims to define the standards of ethical and responsible behavior which must be met by the Managers and Employees of ZAPCO in the course of carrying out its business and is fundamentally grounded in respect for human and labor rights and the pursuit of excellence in production.

The Code shall be applied to all aspects of ZAPCO’s manufacturing process including recruiting, administration, purchasing, manufacturing and finishing processes and is based upon the following general principles that define ZAPCO’s ethical behavior:

All ZAPCO’s operations are developed from an ethical and responsible perspective.

All persons, individuals or entities, which maintain, directly or indirectly, any kind of employment, economic, social and/or industrial relationship with ZAPCO are treated fairly and with dignity.

All ZAPCO’s activities are carried out in a manner that most respects the environment and reflect sound, legal business practices Aim of the Code

The aim of the Code is to create a company culture that respects high quality work, enterprise and endeavor and honors the rights of all who work in the company while maintaining honest and ethical business practices.

We shall demonstrate sound corporate citizenship in all aspects of our operations.

The Aim of the Code shall be achieved by:

  1. Sound Employment Practices

Hiring qualified, experienced people and enabling them to grow in the companyEnsuring that employees are hired assessed on suitability for positions and accordingto clear job descriptions.

Training employees or factory workers to ensure understanding of company procedures and processes

Rewarding effort and ability and treating all employees fairly and with respect determining working ages, times, salary benefits and overtime rates in accordance with local government laws and requirements.

  1. Support Occupational Health and Safety obligations

Providing safe, clean and healthy environment for workers and managers in accordance with local Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Displaying Health and Safety instructions in the workplace to ensure all employees are aware of requirements

  1. Introduce and Maintain High Standards of Production and Manufacturing Processes

Obtaining and complying with relevant ISO certification standards
Ensuring fitness for purpose of raw materials by obtaining Specification and Safety Data Sheets for Materials from Suppliers
Providing Training and Instruction for mangers and workers on production processes
Developing efficient production systems to reduce cost and increase production
Creating internal production information systems to ensure information is accessible to all key employees so that production is a transparent process

  1. Comply with Local Laws and Legislation

Not engaging in illegal activity and ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations
Respecting the legislative requirements and processes of the host country

  1. Observe commitment to maintaining environmental awareness

Pursuing environmentally sound manufacturing processes
Complying with local environmental legislation

  1. Observe Confidentiality of Intellectual Property

Ensuring protection and respect for the Intellectual Property of customers
